2020 SMART Goal Update – January and February

2020

This is a January & February 2020 SMART Goal update post that pertains to the SMART goals that I created for myself for this year. If you are interested in creating SMART goals OR if you would like to see how I created my goals down using the SMART goal formula, please see my original post here.

Goal #1: By the end of February, I will publish at least one blog post weekly on my website for four consecutive weeks.

This goal didn’t exactly work out for me. I have been posting more content overall and even published a post every day of the week when I did a decorated Valentine’s Cookie series, but February threw me some curve balls that I wasn’t ready for. I’m going to continue this goal for March so I can keep posting recipes and tutorials for everyone who comes to this blog.

Check out any of the posts you missed in January or February!

Goal #2: Increase variety of recipes I make/practice baking

I’m very proud to say that I have achieved this goal. I made (and posted two items from the categories below). I have also made pancakes and I will post the recipe (and maybe some pancake art) very soon.

  • At least once a month, I will make a recipe (and hopefully post it if the recipe tastes good) from one of the categories below.
    • Categories:
      • Yeasted Bread
      • Muffins
      • Brownies – Pecan Brownies
      • Ice cream
      • Fruit Pie
      • Pancakes
      • Swiss Roll Cake
      • Pastry with laminated dough
      • Fried Dough
      • Upside Down Fruit Cake
      • Linzer Cookies – Raspberry Linzer Cookies
      • Savory Pie/Hand Pie

Overall, I’m happy with my progress on my 2020 SMART goals and I will continue to update you on goal progress until I have achieved both of my goals.

If you need inspiration or a calendar to help you organize your goals, I really love the Passion Planner. I use it for inspiration and planning my weeks. It has a great section at the beginning to help you create your own goals. I’m not sponsored by the brand, it’s just a planner that I have been using for multiple years now.

Let me know if you have any requests for posts that you would like to see or if you have any goals that you are currently working on!
